- Capable of working with the client in defining their business drivers and how the program objectives deliver benefits for business success
- Demonstrated ability to lead the project team in successfully executing programs as planned
- Able to apply disciplined approaches to coordinate internally and externally dispersed management interfaces
- Must provide leadership and direction to personnel performing complex tasks to include multiple project managers as direct reports who are managing key sub-projects that integrate to satisfy program deliverables
- Ability to interface with task and functional leaders, subcontractors, and support personnel
- Plans, implements, maintains project organization structure, and interviews to select team members
- Interacts frequently with senior management and clients
- Assesses performance of subordinates, and coaches them as needed
- Directs personnel training, mentoring, and assigns increased responsibilities as appropriate
- Act as the primary customer interface or single point of contact (SPOC)
- Incumbent must be able to listen to and understand customer expectations, concerns, and assure project/program is being executed effectively and on time
What You’ll Be Doing:
- ExecuPOWER is a women-owned firm that provides Engineering Design for Transmission, Substation and Distribution as well as Project Management, Construction Management, QA/QC Inspection and Renewable Energy
- Some domestic travel to client locations may be required
- Plan, coordinate, and manage the actions taken to acquire and execute a specific piece of business, either competitively or non-competitively
- Plan and implement actions by the program/project teams to define and implement technical baseline and meet quality requirements for project/program products and services
- Direct project team personnel, delegating roles and responsibilities to make certain of alignment within the group
- Manage department profitability and employee billability, ensure contract compliance, and serve as the principal customer interface where necessary
- Create internal standards, processes and procedures within the department
- Focus on performance and accountability
- Develop and monitor KPI’s for your staff that align with both the internal company and the client
What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in relevant technical field (Engineering)
- Minimum of 12 years of experience working on projects and programs in positions of increasing responsibility
- Minimum of 3 years managing a PMO department
- Certifications: PMP®
