The Big Picture – Top Skills You Should Possess:
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of technical plans, drawings, and models with experience in writing and providing support documentation for engineering calculations
- Demonstrate a high level of personal initiative and ability to interact with personnel, contractors, regulatory representatives and prioritize work while managing multiple projects
- Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation
- Experience with Asset Suite 8, and/or SAP PM asset management software
- Experience in working in Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
- Prior military experience

What You’ll Be Doing:
- ExecuPOWER is a women-owned firm that provides Engineering Design for Transmission, Substation and Distribution as well as Project Management, Construction Management, QA/QC Inspection and Renewable Energy
- Some domestic travel to client locations may be required
- Lead the preparation of design deliverables for overhead and underground transmission lines
- Develop design criteria, routing, siting and placement of manholes, duct bank design, plan and profiles, ampacity calculations, pulling calculations, and construction specifications
- Conduct cable selection studies, determine bonding scheme, identify routing challenges and riser structure configuration
- Work with vendors and clients to specify transmission line components
- Develop project estimates and schedules, evaluate design options and criteria, and develop list of materials necessary to support client project authorization process and bidding documents
- Review and approve drawings and material lists and work with procurement and project controls staff to ensure accurate entry into client asset management system
- Conduct field visits to verify routing conditions and design parameters, and factory visits to ensure compliance with material specification and product quality
- Review drawings for manufacturers and use pertinent information in the production of design drawings
- Comply with federal, state, local and client safety and environmental regulations, permit requirements and policies
- Utilize the appropriate PPE and maintain a safe working environment adhering to the highest level of safety standards meeting ExecuPOWER’s and customer’s safety standards
- Perform administrative functions, such as writing technical reports, preparing job status reports, and filing timesheet and expense submittals on a timely and accurate basis
- Assist in power restoration efforts in order to support client’s natural disaster response program
What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited engineering program
- Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) Certification
- 3+ years experience in underground transmission line design
- Familiarity with design codes and standards such as NESC, EPRI Green Book, IEC, ICEA, CSA, IEEE, ANSI, AEIC, IBC, ASCE 7, ASTM, AISC, and ACI 318
- Experience in PLS CADD, PLS-POLE, PLS-TOWER, MFAD, OR LPILE
- Proficiency in Pull-Planner cable tensioning software, CYMCAP, or ETAP modeling software
- Self-starter, energetic, and ambitious person that is team oriented, and customer focused
- Detail orientated with good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently with minimal supervisor oversight
- Able to manage multiple tasks and assist in the training of new peers
- Able and willing to obtain and maintain a valid passport and driver’s license
- P.E. license or the ability to obtain a P.E. license
